Disability is a physical or mental condition that limits a person movement, senses or activity in type visual impairment, hearing impairment, locomotor impairment, mental retardation and learning disabilities.
Acupuncture involves the insertion of special needles through the spesific area in the surfaces of the body, and the question is: "Can Acupuncture Support Disability Rehabilitation Programme and how does Acupuncture Actually Work?"
Based on biomedical research adapted acupuncture technique is used as a complementary therapy for clinical needs for disability rehabilitation, such as:
- pain problem
- locomotor impairment especiality
- mild to moderate hearing impairment
- physiological visual impairment
- autism/minimal brain syndrome
- mild cerebral palsy
- osteoporotic problem
- post CVA/brain injury/spinal injury.
